General Collective Agreement 2020-2022 was signed

The Cabinet of Ministers, the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organization of Azerbaijan Republic signed General Collective Agreement for 2020-2022.

and President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers)
Organization of Azerbaijan Republic Mammad Musayev signed a joint decision.
Based on the international treaties
signed by Azerbaijan or to which Azerbaijan is a party, International Labor
Organization conventions, other rules of international law and the laws of
Azerbaijan, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation
and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organization of
Azerbaijan Republic (hereinafter referred to as the “Parties”) signed the General
Collective Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the “Agreement”) which defines
agreed positions and joint activities on the social, economic and labor
relations for 2020-2022.
The Parties believe that as a result of
the successful reforms carried out in Azerbaijan, formation of socially-focused
national economy integrated into the global economic system, maintenance of
macro-economic stability, diversification of economy, acceleration of
development of non-oil sector and regions, strengthening state support for entrepreneurship
is a socio-economic policy that aims at considerably reducing poverty and
unemployment in the country, ensuring employment, opening new jobs, increasing
income and improving material well-being of citizens, strengthening social
protection of socially vulnerable population groups, and realization of these
targets is a priority of the Agreement.
The Agreement is a part of the social
partnership system and constitutes a basis for development and conclusion of sectoral
tariff agreements. The Parties state that they will make efforts to develop
mutual relations based on the social partnership principles, regulate social
and labor relations through social dialogue, collective contracts and
agreements, and will perform obligations and transactions set out by the
Agreement.
