The next online meeting of the ATUC Executive Committee was held

The next online meeting of the ATUC Executive Committee was held on July 15. At the meeting, ATUC Chairman, MP S. Mohbaliyev informed the members of the Executive Committee about the issues included in the agenda.
At the beginning of the meeting, at the suggestion of S.
Mohbaliyev, the memory of our servicemen killed as a result of the violation of
our borders by the Armenian armed forces in the direction of Tovuz was
commemorated with a minute of silence.
The meeting took into account the General Collective
Agreement for 2020-2022 signed by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of
Azerbaijan, the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan and the National
Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan on
March 19, 2020. The Republican Committees of the Sectoral Trade Unions have
been instructed to use the Recommendations reflecting the position of the trade
unions when preparing the sectoral (tariff) agreement and collective agreement
for 2020-2022. The meeting approved an action plan for the implementation of
the General Collective Agreement.
The meeting discussed the results of the republican
competition for the best enterprise (organization) of the year for the creation
of healthy and safe working conditions in 2019. It was noted that more than 2,720
enterprises and organizations took part in the competition. Documents of 50
winning enterprises and organizations from 236 enterprises representing 22
trade unions were sent to the ATUC for awards. Taking into account the
proposals made at the meeting of the relevant ATUC commission on the
competition on May 5, 2020, the Executive Committee of the ATUC decided to
award the winners of the republican competition in 2019 with ATUC diplomas and
gifts. It was also recommended that the trade unions take measures to encourage
the participating labor inspectors, staff and organizations, along with the
winners of 2019, along with the republican committees, federations and unions.
The meeting of the Executive Committee discussed the
gender statistics of Azerbaijani trade unions in 2019, the activities and
statistical reports of sports organizations of Azerbaijani trade unions on the
results of 2019 and other issues.
Then, the issue of
continuing to provide financial assistance to low-income families, the elderly,
unemployed citizens, as well as trade union members in the event of a pandemic
was discussed, and it was decided to allocate funds in accordance with the
distribution of the Executive Committee.
At the end of the meeting, ATUC Chairman, MP Sattar
Mohbaliyev conveyed his views on each of the issues discussed to the members of
the Executive Committee and made recommendations.
The participants of the meeting listened to the ATUC
chairman's report on the actions of the provocative forces entering the building
of the Milli Majlis on the night of July 15 and strongly condemned these
actions.
