The ATUC strongly condemned the actions of the provocative forces

It was noted at today's online meeting of the ATUC Executive Committee that the action held in support of the Azerbaijani Army on July 14-15 once again demonstrated the high spirit of patriotism in our society. Chairman
Chairman of the ATUC, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev said that the patriotism
of the protesters, their desire to be mobilized, their intention to serve in
the army is gratifying and proud. It is the duty of every citizen to support
the army, and various events and actions can be held for this purpose.
Unfortunately, some forces tried to use this opportunity
as well. Thus, there were cases of abuse of the conditions created at night,
attempts were made to give political content to the process, to take it out of
control, to form negative emotions. At the same time, false information was
spread on social networks about undesirable processes both on the front line
and in the capital.
Attempts by a group of people to riot the streets of
Baku, vandalize the building of the Milli Majlis, use force against the police
at a time of military operations on the border are against citizenship and the
law, and most importantly, disrespect for the souls of martyrs.
Mohbaliyev said he considered the demonstration in
support of our army a well-intentioned, patriotic action. The slogans of the
participants about Karabakh, our National Army, the calls to support the
Supreme Commander-in-Chief were, of course, sincere and well-intentioned.
Unfortunately, this did not pass without provocation, the
provocative forces were still able to seize the opportunity and did not stop
their treacherous and ugly deeds. A group of saboteurs and their followers
raided the building of the Milli Majlis, injured security guards, entered the
building and destroyed it. Were these people in their minds at the time, or were
they under the influence of something or someone?
They thought that the road to Karabakh passed through the
Milli Majlis. They overturned and damaged the vehicles of soldiers and police
guarding them at the border and inside. In doing so, they disrespected the
spirit of our fallen heroes while defending us.
We, the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan,
state that the intentions of those who do not want Azerbaijan and try to
confuse people with such acts of provocation will remain in sight.
ATUC Executive Committee members also strongly condemned
the actions of the provocateurs.
