Appeal of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation to international organizations regarding the next attack of Armenian terrorists on Ganja
17 Oct 2020
On October 17, 2020, at around 1 am, 13 people were killed and 52 others were injured when Armenia again attacked Ganja, the second largest city in Azerbaijan, 80 kilometers from the conflict zone, with a SCUD / Elbrus ballistic missile many people were injured.
Among the dead and injured were minors, women and the
elderly.
This is
the third time in the last two weeks that the city of Ganja has come under
heavy rocket attack by Armenia. It should be noted that 27 civilians have been
killed and more than 100 injured in Ganja so far as a result of these attacks.
The
deliberate and deliberate bombing of Ganja, a city of 500,000, far from the
conflict zone by the Armenian military and political leadership, and the
killing of innocent civilians using high-powered SCUD missiles are among the
bloodiest war crimes against humanity in the 21st century will receive.
This act
of savagery, barbarism and terrorism committed by Armenia in the eyes of the
whole world deeply worries us - the Azerbaijani Trade Union Confederation - as
an organization that protects the rights of the Azerbaijani public and workers.
This is not the only thing that worries us, it is the fact that the UN Security
Council, created by the world community to stop and punish the aggressor in the
world, is still silent about the humanitarian tragedy in Ganja, genocide and
war crimes.
According
to the UN Charter, international law and international humanitarian law, at
least the political and military leadership of Armenia, Pashinyan and Tonoyan,
who issued the order, and other military personnel carrying out the order must
be declared war criminals and UN Security Council procedures must be put in
place to arrest and punish them immediately. .
If the UN
Security Council remains silent on the crime committed by Armenia, it will mean
the full protection of the Armenian military leadership, which is an aggressor
and murderer of the civilian population, and the justification of international
crimes and complicity in these crimes and history will never forgive anyone!
Therefore, on behalf of the 1.5 million members of the Azerbaijan Trade
Unions Confederation, we urgently convene the UN Security Council to condemn
Armenia's crimes against humanity, to use its mandate to order the bombing of
Ganja, and to kill a large number of civilians. We demand that appropriate
steps be taken to severely punish Minister Nicole Pashinyan and Defense
Minister David Tonoyan.
