Events on the Decent Labor Day were held

Various events were held in the Trade Unions Federation and the member organizations on the occasion of "7 October - Worldwide Decent Work Day".
Technical Labour Inspectors of the Federation also
attended the meetings at Improtex Motors LLC, Azerbaijan Cooperative
University. These events, which were attended by trade unions leaders and
activists, were noted as October 7 as the Day of Support for the "Decent
Work Program" adopted by the International Labor Organization in 1999.
The meeting also focused on the
work done by the trade unions on the use of decent labor. It was noted that the
Federation gives more preference to the series of educational seminars. Since
the beginning of this year in Baku, Sumgayit and regions of the country, the
principles of decent labor have been interpreted. The position of the trade
union should be kept in the implementation of these principles. During the
meetings, it was proposed that a wide range of issues be included in collective
agreements to ensure that employees are provided with quality and safe
workplaces, decent and fair wages.
