Chairman of the Trade Union Republican Committee of
Culture of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan Jamila Sattarova met
with the staff of the agency on March 4 on the occasion of the 100th
anniversary of the Azerbaijan State Information Agency (AZERTAC).
Speaking about the important role of trade unions in
public life, Aslan Aslanov, Chairman of the Board of AZERTAC, noted that there
is a business relationship and friendly relations between the 100-year-old
agency and the Committee for Cultural Workers. Every culture worker feels the
attention and care of the committee in their lives. In this regard, the
Chairman of the Board highly appreciates the services of Jamila Sattarova: “You
have been able to cope with this hard work and responsible position for many
years thanks to your great organizational skills and rich experience. You are
always on the lookout for solutions to health, recreation and other vital
issues for thousands of employees. The Azertac team also cares about this care
and we are grateful for that. ”
The meeting focused on the great achievements of
Azerbaijan in recent years, and noted that it presented its brands and
development models to the world. It was emphasized that all these successes are
connected with the name of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Speaking about the development of the Agency over the
past 100 years, Aslan Aslanov has made great strides towards improving the
working and living conditions of employees, thanks to the special attention and
care of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the comprehensive support of President
Ilham Aliyev to the media. It was noted that today the agency, which spreads
information in 8 languages, informs the world about the dynamic development of
our country, the realities of Azerbaijan, including its achievements in the
field of culture.
Chairman of the Republican Committee of the Union of
Cultural Workers Jamila Sattarova congratulated the staff of AZERTAC on the
anniversary and wished them success in their future activities. Expressing
gratitude for the comprehensive coverage of the activities of the organization
represented by Jamila Sattarova, stressing that AZERTAC, which is the main
source of official state information, is in the forefront of objective and
professional news coverage in the country.
“One hundred years is a great way, a great history. I can
say with pride that AZERTAC has passed a century of honor, and chronicles this
period of our history. The Independent Trade Union of Cultural Workers of
Azerbaijan was established 115 years ago. The history of our committee begins
at that time. AZERTAC has always played a big role in covering our activities.
Today journalists need not only professionalism, but also high intellectual
level. It is important to turn away from the processes going on around the
world, first of all, from the state interests and national interests of
Azerbaijan. In this regard, your agency needs a lot in our modern age. I am

changes, AZERTAC, the main information arm of the independent state of
Azerbaijan, will always live. The ways we have come together indicate that our

At the meeting, on behalf of the Republican Committee
of the Union of Culture Workers of Azerbaijan, Aslan Aslanov, the chairman of
the Board of Directors of AZERTAC was presented a souvenir and a group of
employees were awarded with Honorary Decrees.
