Sattar Mohbaliyev: Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation will always take an active part in financing the YASHAT Foundation

One of the most important factors underlying the state policy pursued in Azerbaijan today is the increase in the welfare of the country's citizens. In particular, the economic and political reforms, laws and long-term state development programs implemented in recent years are primarily aimed at this goal - to further increase the social protection of Azerbaijani citizens, to further accelerate the welfare of our people.
Of
course, the role of our citizens in need of special care is more important in
the scope of all these measures implemented by our state. It is known that one
of the layers that the Azerbaijani state always pays special attention and care
to is our people who were injured and lost their health while paying their
debts to the Motherland, as well as the families of martyrs. The existing
problems of these people are always in the focus of personal attention of the
President of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and all necessary measures are
taken regularly to solve them.
We know
that as a result of the Patriotic War, which lasted from September 27 to November
10, 2020, the number of our veterans and the families of martyrs in Azerbaijan
has also increased. Of course, the Azerbaijani government is already taking
comprehensive measures to provide all the necessary assistance to these people.
I think that one of the projects of special importance in this direction is the
establishment of the YASHAT Foundation.
As it is
known, by the decree signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr.
Ilham Aliyev on December 8, 2020, a fund to support the families of the wounded
and martyrs was established in connection with the protection of the
territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The name of the foundation
is abbreviated as "YASHAT" Foundation. First of all, I must say that
the YASHAT Foundation is another manifestation of the care of our Supreme
Commander-in-Chief for veterans and the families of martyrs. Also, one of the
highlights of the new fund is that the Fund's funds, along with other sources
not prohibited by law, will be formed through voluntary contributions
(donations) from citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, our compatriots living
abroad and other individuals and legal entities. . The special significance of
this point is that the YASHAT Foundation will indirectly serve as an additional
platform for the continuation of the great unity and solidarity demonstrated by
Azerbaijanis around the world during the 44-day Patriotic War with the same
initiative. Undoubtedly, the establishment of such an institution is an
extremely wise and important step.
In turn,
I can say that all such initiatives put forward by our state have always been
supported at the highest level by the Confederation of Trade Unions of
Azerbaijan and all organizations included in the organization. The
confederation and member organizations have regularly transferred donations to
such social funds, and, of course, this activity will continue. In particular,
I declare that the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan will always take
an active part in the financing of the YASHAT Foundation.
We must
never forget that we are all indebted to our martyrs and veterans for the great
historical victory in the Great Patriotic War. As our Supreme
Commander-in-Chief said, this victory cost us the lives and blood of our
martyrs and veterans. Therefore, caring for these people and their families is
not only the duty of our state, but the duty of all of us.
