The Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation has transferred additional funds to the Revival Fund
12 Mar 2021
At the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation on March 11, 2021, in addition, the "Karabakh Revival Fund" established by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to attract investments from inside and outside the country for the restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories. It was decided to transfer the funds.
At the
meeting of the Executive Committee, ATUC Chairman, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev
informed the participants about the construction and restoration work to be
carried out in Karabakh, which was liberated after the victory of President
Ilham Aliyev in the 44-day Patriotic War.
The ATUC chairman showed
that the reforms implemented in the field of economic and military construction
during the 17-year presidency of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Ilham Aliyev, who remained faithful to the successful development strategy of
the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and continued it with confidence, paid off. Four
years ago, in the first days of April 2016, the successful military operations
of the Azerbaijani Army to prevent attacks and provocations of the Armenian military
units in the direction of Tartar and Fizuli confirmed the strength of our Armed
Forces. The myth of invincibility created by the Armenian political regime
before those battles proved to be just a myth in the April battles.
On September 27, 2020, the
next attack of the Armenian Armed Forces on the positions of the Azerbaijani
army located in the frontline zone was already running out of patience. The
President of the country, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev decided
to launch a counter-offensive.
The "Iron Fist"
operation, which began on September 27, demonstrated Azerbaijan's true military
power and high combat capability. Under the leadership of the victorious
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of our country Ilham Aliyev, the illusions
about the Armenian army in the Patriotic War, which lasted only 44 days, were
shattered.
Under the leadership of
the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the Azerbaijani Army has duly fulfilled its
duty to ensure our territorial integrity. The occupation ended with the signing
of a trilateral statement by Nicole Pashinyan on November 10.
The ATUC chairman
informed the participants that the construction, installation and restoration
work is being successfully continued in the liberated territory of Karabakh.
The construction of the
Ahmadbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway is underway in accordance with the schedule.
"Smart Village" projects were launched in the Third Agali village of
Zangilan region and several other villages, the power plant was restored and put
into operation in a short time in Gulebir village of Lachin region, the
foundations of the airport and Horadiz-Agband railway were laid in Fizuli
region. The city of Shusha has been provided with drinking water, electricity,
gas and the installation of the building has begun. In short, the country's
leadership is successfully implementing the instructions on the development of
infrastructure projects in most of the liberated territories. This work is
currently underway. During his visit to Lachin region, President Ilham Aliyev
reiterated that Karabakh would become a paradise: “I said. We will turn this
region - Karabakh - into a paradise. All instructions have already been given.
All work is being done, it will be done in a planned way, and then we will live
in these lands forever. No one will be able to move us from these lands
anymore. Garabagh is ours! Karabakh is Azerbaijan. "
After the end of the war,
the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, like all state and public
organizations operating in the country, took certain steps to revive Karabakh
and take an active part in solving the social problems of veterans. AZN 100,000
was transferred to the Karabakh Revival Fund, AZN 600,000 in total, AZN 705,000
was transferred to the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's Regional Development Public
Union to provide food gifts to low-income and other vulnerable families, and
AZN 537,750 was transferred to the Yashat Fund to support veterans and martyrs'
families. In addition, the families of 139 soldiers and officers of the Victorious
Azerbaijani Army were taken under their protection.
The ATUC Chairman
informed the participants that they would continue to take part in the
construction and restoration work carried out in Karabakh under the leadership
of President Ilham Aliyev and use every opportunity to provide him with
material and moral support.
