The IV plenum of energy was held
20 Dec 2019
On December 20, the fourth plenary session of the Republican Committee of Trade Union of Electric Power and Electrical Industry Workers was held.
Speaking
at the plenary session, the Chief Technical Labor Inspector of the Republican
Committee Nazim Babayev made a speech on the topic "Occupational health
and safety in enterprises covered by the trade union". A special section
was assigned to this area by the General Collective Agreement. Occupational
safety is being discussed at the meetings of the Confederation, and demands and
suggestions are put before the partners. Of course, as a member organization,
we also strive to ensure that safe and healthy working conditions are reflected
in broader sections, in industry tariff agreements and collective bargaining
agreements. In accordance with these documents, the Labor Protection Committees
operating under trade union organizations have been familiarized with the work
done by the Labor Committee of the Republican Committee on labor protection and
healthy working conditions in 18 of the enterprises covered by the industry in
the last 2 years.
The reporter said
that he conducts inspections and reviews in the manufacturing sector.
Discovered shortcomings are discussed at the IEC meetings and decisions are
made accordingly. Timely implementation of decisions is under control.
Inspection shows that the industry generally adheres to the principle of
"healthy production". In particular, new jobs were created in
accordance with sanitary and hygienic requirements. An example is the Sumgait
Technology Park (STP). In this park, which covers several manufacturing areas,
all workers perform their job in a healthy and safe environment. Taking into
account the complexity of electrical equipment operated in the power system and
their exact management requirements, special attention is paid to occupational
safety, technical safety, and the creation of healthy and safe working
conditions for employees.
Especially in recent
years as a result of preventive measures on occupational safety and health, no
fatal accidents have occurred in the enterprises and organizations of
Azerenergy during 11 months of 2019.
Occupational safety days,
improvement of labor and production discipline, provision of staff with
collective and personal protection, uniforms and fire protection,
implementation of instructions, regulation of operating and duty personnel and
other preventive measures are key factors.
