The Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation has taken care of 23 more martyrs' families

Azerbaijani trade unions always pay attention to solving the social problems of the families of martyrs.
By the decision of the Executive Committee of the ATUC
dated February 22, 2021, another 23 families of martyrs were taken under their
protection. Thus, the total number of foster families reached 139.
The Executive Committee has previously decided to take
care of the families of 116 soldiers and officers killed in the Great Patriotic
War.
The ATUC has taken care of 41 young children from the
families of 23 martyrs killed in the Tovuz battles in April 2016 and July 2020.
These minors are provided with 150 manat per month until they reach the age of
18. The amount to be spent on this assistance alone will be 885,600 manat.
It should be noted that the Confederation of Trade Unions
of Azerbaijan and its member organizations spent 3 million 424 thousand 312
manat during the Great Patriotic War. In particular, AZN 350,000 was donated to
the Azerbaijan Armed Forces Assistance Fund, AZN 150,000 was transferred to the
Council of Trade Unions of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to provide
assistance to the families of martyrs living in the Nakhchivan Autonomous
Republic. 1 million 380 thousand 687 manat financial assistance was provided to
the army, martyrs' families and wounded, 1 million 005 thousand 875 manat was
transferred to the Armed Forces Assistance Fund, 500 thousand manat was
transferred to the account of "Regional Development" Public Union to
provide food gifts to low-income and other vulnerable families . 537,750 manat
was donated to the Yashat Foundation.
To the "Karabakh Revival Fund" established by
the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to
ensure modern and decent life for sustainable settlement in the liberated
territories, to carry out construction and restoration work in all areas, as
well as to support safe living, productive activity and sustainable growth On
January 19, 2021, funds in the amount of 100,000 manat were transferred.
The Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation intends to
continue to take appropriate steps to improve the social problems of the
families of martyrs.
