Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation transfers AZN 100,000 to Karabakh Revival Fund

The Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation and its member organizations have always stood by our state during the Coronavirus pandemic and the Great Patriotic War, demonstrated national solidarity, focused on the care and attention of our servicemen and their families fighting for the freedom and territorial integrity of the Motherland.
ATUC and
its member organizations provided material and food assistance in the amount of
6,065,988 manat during the pandemic. In particular, the ATUC transferred AZN
250,000 to the Coronavirus Support Fund and AZN 110,000 to support the fight
against coronavirus in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, AZN 205,000 to the
Heydar Aliyev Foundation's Regional Development Public Union, provided AZN
1,517,825 to 54,328 low-income families, 76 distributed 68 tons of food gifts
to 3,900 families living in the city and region. Financial assistance in the amount
of AZN 3,152,625 was provided to 45,919 needy people over the age of 65,
members of trade unions with disabilities, and AZN 936,628 worth of protective
equipment was distributed to members of trade unions for use in quarantine.
Trade union leaders transferred a total of 458,920 manat from their salaries to
the Coronavirus Foundation.
ATUC and
its member organizations spent 3 million 424 thousand 312 manat during the
Great Patriotic War. In particular, AZN 350,000 was donated to the Azerbaijan
Armed Forces Assistance Fund by the decision of the ATUC Executive Committee
dated October 5, and AZN 150,000 was donated to the Nakhchivan Autonomous
Republic Trade Union Council to provide assistance to the families of martyrs
living in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. thousand manats were transferred.
Financial
assistance in the amount of 1,380,687 manat was provided by the trade unions,
1,005,875 manat was transferred to the Armed Forces Assistance Fund, 537,750
manat was donated to the “Yashat” Fund.
By the
decision of the Executive Committee of the ATUC, AZN 500,000 was transferred to
the account of the Regional Development Public Union in order to provide food
gifts to low-income and other vulnerable families.
In
total, the ATUC and its member organizations spent about 10 million manat
during the Pandemic and the Patriotic War.
Recently,
by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the
"Karabakh Revival Fund" was established to ensure modern and decent
life in the liberated territories, to carry out construction and rehabilitation
work in all areas, as well as to support safe living, efficient operation and
sustainable growth created.
By the
decision of the Executive Committee of the ATUC dated January 19, 2021, funds
in the amount of 100,000 manat were transferred to the "Karabakh Revival
Fund".
