ATUC's youth team held the "What?" Where? When? ”Took second place in the intellectual tournament

September 9 marks the 100th anniversary of the launch of the first DOST center of the Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Security (DOST) Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population. Where? When? ”Intellectual tournament.
Speaking at
the opening of the tournament, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection
Anar Aliyev said that the DOST project is an innovation in the field of social
services as one of the successful results of social reforms in our country. The
Deputy Minister said the tournament was symbolic of renaming the DOST Cup. At
the end of his speech he wished success to the participants. Deputy Minister of
Youth and Sports Farhad Hajiyev and Deputy Minister of Environment and Natural
Resources Rauf Hajiyev also spoke about the importance of the DOST Agency and
wished success to the participating teams.
The
decision to hold this tournament, organized by the DOST Agency, was made on
August 14, 2019 at a special meeting dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the
launch of the DOST Agency and the first DOST Center. For this purpose, an
organizational committee has been set up from the Ministry of Labor and Social
Protection and the DOST Agency.
“What?
Where? When? ”About 50 teams, including 6 people from various government
agencies, banks, media, NGOs, volunteer organizations, as well as pensioners
and people with disabilities, participated in the tournament. The purpose of
the tournament was to support the volunteer movement, to reveal the intellectual
abilities of employees and volunteers, and to organize their leisure time
effectively, to integrate pensioners and people with disabilities into the
community.
The tournament consisted of 3 rounds, with one minute
for each question. The team of the Ministry of Economy won the tournament with
the best result in all rounds. The winner of the second prize was the team of
the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan. The State Migration Service
Volunteers team showed the third result.
Among the
pensioners, Chinar team was the first, Ghazal team was the second, Heritage
team was the third. The winner of the youth teams was the State Migration
Service Volunteer. Volunteer DOST took second place in Bravos and Ministry of
Education Volunteers ranked third. The team of Azerbaijan Television won the
media. Second place was taken by "Free Azerbaijan" TV, and third
place - APA Holding.
DOST Center # 1
serves residents of Yasamal and Sabail districts of Baku. The Center provides
132 services in employment, labor, disability and social protection on a
one-stop basis. It also provides social, legal, socio-pedagogical,
socio-psychological, social and household, medical examination services,
including banking and notary services. The first DOST center receives 400-450
citizens a day. Satisfaction with the level of service of citizens is 96%.
In the future, most of the services provided by
DOST centers are planned to be proactive.
