The 100 years’ anniversary of Firefighting service

On October 10, by the Binagadi State Fire Protection Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was held an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of firefighting service in Azerbaijan.
Participants
of the event, by the organization of Trade Union of Employees of the Ministry,
first visited the Alley of Honors to commemorate the great leader Heydar Aliyev
with flowers and laid flowers at his grave. The well-known
ophthalmologist-scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva also was
commemorated.
Participants of the event then commemorated the memory of the sons of Vatan, who died in the battle for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the Alley of Martyrs and laid flowers on their graves.
Then the participants of the meeting got acquainted with exhibition of special equipment and equipments of the fire protection forces in the courtyard of the administration.

Chief of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Major General Fuzuli Asadov spoke about the tasks put forward in order to extinguish the fires in the territory of the republic and to carry out urgent rescue measures. He expressed gratitude to the leadership of the country for the protection provided by the fire protection service with the latest firefighting equipment and supplies.
Javanshir Alkhasov, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, also had a speech at the event. He conveyed congratulations to the firefighters on the occasion of the professional holiday by the chairman of ATUC Mr. Sattar Mogbaliyev. “Firefighters called the most dangerous occupations and most selfless people”-said he They voluntarily risk themselves to save others’ lives and property”. Those who choose this profession deserve all praise and pride. " Then, C.Alkhasov presented a group of employees of the Service badge and Honorary decrees by the "25 years" anniversary.
