29 years have passed since the bloody events of January 20, 1990, but the people of Azerbaijan never forget their brave sons and daughters.
At that time, the Soviet Army entered the capital of our republic. That night, hundreds of civilians were brutally killed, who fought for independence and tried to save their homeland. Like every year, this year a number of events dedicated to this day are held at the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan as well as in the Republican Committees. According to the action plan, on January 9, 2019, the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan met with the families of the martyrs on January 20.
Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev said that their families had always been in the center of attention of trade unions and our martyrs had always lived and would live in the hearts of our people. S.Mohbaliyev once again assured that the trade unions would continue to take care of the family members of those who died for the freedom of our lands.
After the meeting, 200 grants were given to 104 families of martyrs.
