Meeting held with representatives of European Trade Union Committee for Education at ATUC

On May 8 the Chairman of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, MP, vice-president of International Trade Union Confederation Sattar Mohbaliyev met with Susan Flocken, Director of European Trade Union Committee for Education and Mike Jennings, member of the committee bureau that organized plenary session on "Strengthening gender equality in education" held in Baku. Sattar Mohbaliyev thanked the visitors for conducting a high level meeting. S.Flocken said: "This meeting was also successful like those held before. We achieved what we expected. And your support increased the effect of the meeting. It is due to the respect You have gained among the country Community as ATUC chairman that the meeting was attended by trade union leaders, active members and government officials as well. We exchanged views on creating equal conditions for both sexes, providing teachers with permanent workplaces, education of pupils and other issues. I hope this event will be a starting point for future joint projects". Mike Jennings, member of European Trade Union Committee's bureau shared impressions on his short period visit to Baku. He said "We witnessed a real friendship and sincerity model by your organization". Such properties come from your people's character".
