The ATUC hosted an event dedicated to the 98th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev

On May 7, the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC) hosted an online event on the occasion of the 98th birthday anniversary of the founder of the modern Azerbaijani state, world-famous political figure, great leader Heydar Aliyev.
Speaking at the event, ATUC Chairman, MP Sattar
Mohbaliyev spoke about the place and role of the great leader in the history of
Azerbaijan, his historically significant services, successful activities and
rescue missions.
He noted that at
the root of all the activities of Heydar Aliyev, a unique figure in our
history, was his endless love for his people, state and homeland, and he did
what he did for his people with great enthusiasm and love. The great leader has
won the sympathy and trust of the people at all stages of governing the state
with his genius, unique leadership qualities, ability to direct political
processes, ability to unite the interests of society in common.
The ATUC chairman said that the national leader
considered ensuring the unity and integrity of Azerbaijani society as his
strategic task and did not allow the country to be divided in terms of social
inequality, regional factors, religious and national affiliation.
It was noted in the speech that when the great leader
came to power both in 1969 and 1993, the country was in crisis, and when he was
elected chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic,
the situation there was not so good. In all three cases, the great leader
successfully completed his mission and played the role of savior, and it is
these unforgettable historical services of the great leader that underlie the
success of today's prosperous Azerbaijan.
Mohbaliyev said that after the election of the President
in 1993, Armenia's offensive operations against Azerbaijan were stopped by the
leadership of the supreme leader, and then the historical "Operation
Horadiz" liberated 20 Fizuli, Jabrayil and Horadiz settlements. called
turning.
Speaking about the national leader's attention and care
for trade unions, the ATUC chairman noted that the attitude of the then
government to the organization he headed in the early 1990s was ambiguous. He
noted that there were inappropriate interference in the work of trade unions,
and even an attempt to transfer the office building, which is considered the
property of the organization, to another organization. It was after the return
of national leader Heydar Aliyev to power at the insistence of our people that
such pressures were put to an end, and a new stage in the life of trade unions
began. The national leader always paid attention to the activities of the trade
union, was interested in its concerns, and we are indebted to him for our
activities and success today.
The ATUC chairman said that as a worthy successor of the
great leader, we always feel the attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev,
and this inspires us and increases our responsibility.
Hikmet Osmanov, Chairman of the Trade Union of Public
Administration and Public Service Workers, Jamila Sattarova, Chairman of the
Trade Union of Cultural Workers, Jahangir Aliyev, Chairman of the Trade Union
of Oil and Gas Industry Workers, Fazail Bagirov, Chairman of the Independent
Trade Union of Railway Workers spoke at the event. , spoke about the creative
work, personnel policy and paid tribute to his memory.
