The next meeting of the Executive Committee

The next meeting of the Executive Committee was held on 8th of December. First of all the participants did a minute’s silence for the people who lost their life as a result of accident in the stationary deep-sea base number 10.
The first issue on the agenda was also about the
material and moral assistance of the trade unions to affected people in this
tragic accident. The chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, the
member of the parliament Sattar Mehbaliyev noted that this accident caused by
natural disaster had a very bad effect him and also all the members of trade
unions. The chairman noted that Azerbaijani oil workers have always excelled
with their courage and professionalism during the history. The first oil
complex on the sea – “Oil Stones” (Neft Dashlari) has been created by the
Azerbaijani oilmen first in the world.
The Great Leader of the Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev was
always proud of Azerbaijan oilmen and did his best for recognizing them all
over the world. The president of
Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev also always takes care of oilmen. And also in
the accident our president gave the necessary instructions about the getting
rid of the people who survived and about the searching for missing people. The
victims immediately hospitalized. The funeral of the victims were held. Material
and financial aid were done. S.
Mehbaliyev also noted that they were together with the commission organized to
overcome the consequences and we did everything that we could in this
opportunity.
The issue about the convocation of the 3rd
Parliament of ATUC was discussed. The Executive Committee approved the date and
the theme of the 3rd Parliament. The Parliament will be held in the
big hall of ATUC on the 25th December and the problem of “The child
labor: the current situation and future steps” will be discussed.
The 3rd question was about the additional
funding for the sanatoriums joint-stock company “Kurort”. There was carried out
reconstruction works in some sanatoriums, renovation works, their material and
technical base was improved.
In addition to this,
there is a big need for reconstruction and renovation in other sanatoriums. Taking
it into an account the Executive Committee had decided: “For the reconstruction
and renovation of sanatoriums joint-stock company “Kurort” the member organizations
of ATUC mustallocate additional
funds in accordance with the relevant division.
