The ATUC delegation is taking part in the Congress in Turkey
10 Oct 2020
The 14th Congress of the Turkish Hotel and Restaurant Workers' Trade Union-Toleyis kicked off in Istanbul on October 10.
Along with Turkey, delegations from Azerbaijan and
Albania are taking part in the event entitled "Trade Union is the rising
star of the struggle Toleis".
Our country was represented at the congress by a
delegation led by the chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, MP
Sattar Mohbaliyev.
Speaking at the congress, Mohbaliyev stressed that
brotherly Turkey stands by Azerbaijan in the recent confrontation on the
Armenian-Azerbaijani contact line as a result of provocations by Armenia. “I
also thank the Turkish Trade Union in this regard. I am grateful to everyone
who spoke about Nagorno-Karabakh and provided fraternal support at this event.
I am convinced that there can be no one in Turkey who does not follow the news
every day, the latest developments in the conflict zone, and rejoice in the
successes and progress of the mighty Azerbaijani Army. The Turkish people, as
usual, still support Azerbaijan. We all know that Armenia has been pursuing a
policy of occupation of Azerbaijani lands since 1988. For almost 30 years, 20
percent of Azerbaijan's land, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven
surrounding districts, has been under Armenian occupation. The Azerbaijani
state has taken many measures to end this occupation. Tens of thousands of people
were killed and tens of thousands were disabled. Nevertheless, many countries
supported the aggressor Armenia. In the face of all this, the path of
negotiations initiated by the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar
Aliyev to resolve the issue peacefully is being continued today by the
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. However, the occupying Armenian side
still does not give up its provocative actions. In the face of this, the events
of recent days have once again demonstrated to the world the strength and power
of the Azerbaijani Army, the will of the President and people of Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the event, the head of Toleis, Cemail
Bakindi, and others expressed their support for brotherly Azerbaijan.
Representatives of the congress addressed an appeal to
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham
Aliyev.
The event will last for two days.
