The delegation of the ATUC attended the congress of General Confederation of Trade Unions

8th Congress was held on 12 September 2017 in Labor Palace in Moscow . Trade Unions of NIS countries covering 50 billion employers in its rows and 131 members representing international sectoral trade unions participated in the Congress work. Representatives of state bodies of the NIS countries, entrepreneur organizations, international and national trade unions, and media representative also attended the congress.
At the congress the General
Secretary of the General Confederation of Trade Unions V. Sharbakov made a
report. The report of the Observatory and Revision Commission of the General

congress held elections to the governing bodies of the General Confederation of
Trade Unions. Mikhail Shmakov was re-elected as the president of the General
Confederation of Trade Unions, and Vladimir Shcherbakov was re-elected as the
Secretary General of the General Confederation of Trade Unions
