Independent Trade Union of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences was established on 27 October, 1992 which is combined 45 initial organizations and 9877 members.
Independent Trade Union of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences has become a part of ATUC since 1998.
Independent Trade Union of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences is held once in every 5 years. The time of Congress is determined by the Assembly. The 5th Congress was held in 17 February, 2009.
Between the Congresses the governing body is an Assembly. The Assembly is held 2 times a year. The meeting of Presidium of Trade Union is held once a month.
The collective agreement and the collective contract were concluded between Independent Trade Union of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Independent Presidium of National Sciences and between the initial trade union organizations and employers for 2010-2012.
