In 1923, a part of Aviation workers joined voluntarily pilots’ society “Zakavia” in
In 1934 Trade Union of Aviation workers and drivers was established and in 1937 July first conference was held. The Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Azerbaijan Aviation employees includes 8 thousands members and 17 initial trade union organizations. Supreme body of the committee is a conference which is held every 5 years.
During the inter-conference period government body is Plenum and executive body is Presidium, session of which is to be held once a month.
The Republic Committee of the Trade Union of the aviation employees is a member of the International Union of Trade Unions of Aviation Employees.
