Republican Committee of Azerbaijan Trade Union of the Municipal Workers
On 4 April, 2002 Azerbaijan Trade Union of the Municipal Workers was registered in the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan Republic by holding its constituent meeting on 10 July 2001.
Azerbaijan Trade Union of the Municipal Workers is the independent, non-political and world wide union which is established for protect the labor, social, economic rights and lawful interests of municipalities and non-production workers which has been created by municipalities in manufacturing sectors according to the Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic, "Trade Unions" On the Law of Azerbaijan Republic, other legislative acts related to trade union activities and regulations of Azerbaijan Trade Union of the Municipal Workers. .
The supreme body of Azerbaijan Trade Union of the Municipal Workers is Congress, but between congresses is the Assembly, between Assemblies the executive body is Executive Committee.
The II Congress of Azerbaijan Trade Union of the Municipal Workers was held in 28 September, 2007. At the Congress the name of Azerbaijan Municipal Trade Union of Municipal Servants was changed into Azerbaijan Trade Union of the Municipal Workers
