Formal Employment as a condition of realization of social rights

Conference on Formal Employment as a condition of realization of social rights was held jointly by Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan and International Labor Organization.

Protection of Population Salim Muslumov told that according to the information
of Development Center of Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development
more than half part of economic active people i.e. 1, 8 billion in the world
work without labor contract and they are not covered with social protection.
Existence of informal labor relations in labor market is considered as
an infringement in national legislation and causes obstacles to the fruitful
use of labor resources in countries, maintenance of decent labor and
consequently to the increase of labor productivity. Bearing it in mind,
Azerbaijan government takes relevant measures in order to solve soon the
problem by attracting social partners, representative of civil society and
scientific investigators: "Secretariat for the Regulation of Labor"
relations was formed and headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov at the level of chairmen of National
confederation of corresponding government organs, Azerbaijan Trade unions and
Entrepreneurs (employers) Organization with the decree dated 17 march 2017
of the President Azerbaijan Republic in
order to realize coordinated policy between state organization and to achieve
stated goals.
