Preparation for the reporting and election meetings has begun

According to the Charter of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers, 2020 is the year of reporting in the first union organizations.
The Republican Committee has already begun preparatory work in this regard and
has begun the zone seminars. The first such workshop was held on September 24
in Sheki. Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Committee,
Mirza Jafarzadeh, the head of the organization department, Emil Rustamov, said
that the reporting-election conferences will cover about 6,000 primary
organizations. In these elections, the chairmen of the first organizations will
report on the work done during the reporting period, and the election bodies of
the organizations will be reorganized: The strength of trade union centers is
in their first organization. The more powerful the first organizations, the
more powerful the presiding persons of this organization, the more influential
our union will be. In this regard, chairmen of city and district committees
should take these elections seriously, taking into account gender equality and
promotion of youth, the elected bodies of the first organizations should be
reorganized through democratic elections. ”
The seminar also discussed the provisions of the "Collective Agreement for
2019-2021" signed between the Ministry of Education and the Republican
Committee on Free Trade Union of Education Workers. Chairmen of the city and district
committees informed about the collective agreements signed between the district
committees and education departments.
On October 2, a regional seminar was held in Guba. The event was attended by
Emil Rustamov, Head of the Organizational Committee of the Republican Committee
on Human Rights, Zafar Mammadov, Head of the Wage and Social Welfare
Department, Vugar Hasanov, Senior Advisor of the Finance Department, Gusar,
Khachmaz, Shabran, and Solitarians. At the event, Rustamov spoke about the work
done on holding the election conferences and gave relevant recommendations to
the participants of the seminar.
Z. Mammadov also spoke about the implementation of the collective agreements
between the district committees and education departments.
