Guliyev Tofig Rahman oghlu, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Federation of Agricultural and Food Industry Worker’s Trade Union
He was born in 1950. He is high-educated, graduated from chemistry-technology faculty of the Azerbaijan Oil and Chemistry Institute, and then combining his work with study, in 1980-1985 he graduated from post-graduate course of Higher School of All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions named after Shernikov.He started his working activity in 1970, as secretary (full-time) of Komsomol (Young Communist League) Committee of chemistry-technology faculty of the Azerbaijan Oil and Chemistry Institute
Since 1976 he had been working as senior engineer at the Ministry of Oil Processing and Oil - Chemistry Industry, in the years 1978-1982 – as a head of the department of the said Ministry, and at the same time he was elected as a chairman – volunteer worker of the Trade Union of the Ministry.Since 1997 he has been chairman of the Azerbaijan Federation of Agricultural and Food Industry Workers Trade Union.
By Decree of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Mr.Ilham Aliyev Tofig Guliyev was awarded with “Honoured Culture Figure” for his services provided for development of trade unions in the country, and his services in this field were awarded with a medal “For active service in Trade Union” by the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation.
Tofig Guliyev is a member of Management and Executive Committee of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, a member of elected bodies of International Union of Food, Construction, Tobacco Industries and other relevant fields’ workers (IUF), as well as vice-president of Eurasian Federation of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism Workers’ Trade Union.
His hobby: swimming, reading, physical labor and planting trees.
According
to the order of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic dated 21.10.2015 Tofig
Rahman Oglu Guliyev was awarded with the “3rd degree military
service” order.
He is married, has three children .
