“Decent labor is the way to a fair economy”

On October 7, the Ministry of Defense held a seminar dedicated to World Wide Day.
At the
event titled "Worthy Way to a Fair Economy", Nadir Muradov, Technical
Labor Inspector of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation, spoke about the
provision of additional payments to workers dealing with hazardous substances,
the list of hazardous and heavy productions, professions and duties approved by
the Cabinet of Ministers. He noted that it is important for public officials to
monitor year-round production, construction and facilities, workplace safety,
and provide written recommendations and recommendations to employers to address
any deficiencies and shortcomings. According to Muradov, trade unions must be
fully aware of the costs of labor protection by employers and reports on
occupational safety. He also informed the workshop participants on the
decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers 550 and 38.
Zohrab Mansurov, the ATUC's trusted physician, said
that the average monthly salary of doctors has increased 1.6 times since this
year. On January 1, compulsory health insurance will be introduced in the
country. Medical insurance ensures that the population receives medical and
drug assistance. He noted that the monthly payment for compulsory health
insurance would be 4%, of which 2% would be paid by the employer and the
remaining 2% by the employee. He said foreigners and stateless persons can
benefit from compulsory health insurance. Unemployed people will pay 120 manat
per year for compulsory health insurance. Medical insurance for students and
pensioners will be paid by the state.
