A traditional blood donation was held in the Trade Union of Metropolitan Workers

Volunteer blood donation campaign has been held in Baku Metropolitan for the fifth year.
This
time the social project was organized by the Metropolitan Workers' Union on
February 11-12 to help children suffering from thalassemia, with the support of
the Metropolitan administration.
Everyone
participated in the action in accordance with the State Program "Care for
children suffering from hemophilia and thalassemia".
After
the medical examination of each donor by the hematologists of the Central Blood
Bank Medical Brigade, blood samples were taken from them and an opinion was
made on their joining the campaign.
Experts
spoke about the importance of donating blood to volunteers for those suffering
from blood disorders and said that the campaign was a great example of
kindness. It is also beneficial in terms of one's own health.
The
accumulated blood reserve will be tested and used in the treatment of
thalassemia, hemophilia and other blood disorders. A total of 323 volunteers
participated in the campaign.
