An international conference on "Enlightenment of Trade Unions in Eastern Europe and Central Asia: Outputs and Development paths" was held
28 Nov 2018
On November 28, an international
conference on "Enlightenment of trade unions in the East Europe and
Central Asia: outputs and ways of development" was held in Baku with the
support of the International Labor Organization (ILO), the International Trade
Union Confederation and Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation.
Agil Dadashov, Deputy Chairman of the
AHIK, opened the conference.
He said that the trade unions of
Azerbaijan attach great importance to training of professional cadres and
regular improvement of their potential skills.
The Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and
Social Affairs, which is a modern training center, carries out the task of
training highly qualified specialists for the trade union, raising the level of
staffing and re-training of existing staff and activists.
Youth organizations have long been
active in the Confederation and at the same time in trade unions republic
committees.
I would also like to note the importance
of the events held with the support of the International Trade Union
Confederation in the training of young cadres.
Today, there is a need for elderly
people in the trade union to be substituted by young people. Naturally, our
main desire is to join more people in the future in the trade union. For this,
first of all, young professionals with professional, knowledgeable and modern
outlook should be prepared.
Speaking at the conference, chairman of
AHIK, MP, Sattar Mohbaliyev, vice-president of ITUC, said that trade unions
have been facing more not traditional problems lately. This requires further
improvement of organizational and managerial capacity of the trade unionist,
deep understanding of the foundations of social psychology, conflict, law,
politology, economy and financial policy.
On the other hand, international
institutions have important roles in the world community. One of the most
important issues is the identification of the steps to be taken to protect the
future from impending problems.
