Sattar Mohbaliyev: "President's visit to Shusha will accelerate the revival of our cradle of culture"

19 Mar 2021

“Shusha is the cradle of Azerbaijan's national culture and art. The occupation of this city was an attack on our cultural heritage.

The glorious Azerbaijani army under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, not only returned Shusha to us by ending this occupation. With this historic victory, our victorious Army also regained our morale and national pride. ” The statement came from MP, chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation Sattar Mohbaliyev. The MP said that each visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the liberated territories accelerates the revival of these lands: “The visits of President Ilham Aliyev to the liberated territories continue. Each of these visits has a deep meaning and significance.

As we know, intensive restoration and construction work is being carried out in these areas today. New roads are being built, historical and cultural monuments are being restored, infrastructure is being created. The President's visits to the region also show that these issues are in the center of special attention. As already reported, on March 15, President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and their daughters Leyla Aliyeva visited Fizuli and Khojavend districts. During the visit, President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation of the Fizuli-Hadrut highway. It should be noted that it has become a tradition for the head of state to lay the foundation of an important project during each subsequent visit to the liberated territories. However, this tradition is not just symbolic. This attention of the President of Azerbaijan further increases the intensity of the work carried out, accelerates the revival of the liberated lands. Of course, the reintegration of these areas into the country's overall economy, the opportunities created by new international and regional transport and logistics corridors will give a great impetus to the development of Azerbaijan in general. Azerbaijan will become a stronger, more powerful state. "

Touching upon the political aspects of the President's regular visits to Karabakh, Sattar Mohbaliyev said: “It is no secret that some forces in Armenia today are chanting revanchist slogans. Of course, this trend will not benefit the Armenian people. The Armenian state, on the other hand, can only threaten its own existence by acting unconstructively. However, the President of Azerbaijan spares no effort not only in our country, but in general to maintain peace and stability in the region. From this point of view, the visits of the head of state to the liberated territories are of great importance. In fact, these visits are also a serious warning. The whole world should know that the real owners of Karabakh and other territories occupied for 30 years have returned. And this great return is eternal, and no force can try to change this reality. "

Emphasizing that the next visit of the President to Shusha is an important event not only for the city, but also for Azerbaijani culture in general, the MP said: “As reported, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and daughters Leyla Aliyeva March 16. visited the city of Shusha. This is the second visit of the head of state to Shusha after the occupation. As you know, the President of Azerbaijan visited Shusha with his family on January 14. I would like to emphasize once again that the visits of the President to Shusha, as well as the visits of our President to our liberated regions and cities, are another embodiment of the endless love and devotion to the people in the heart of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The Armenian invaders, who occupied the territories of Azerbaijan for thirty years, were engaged in spreading false information to the whole world that Karabakh, including Shusha, was Armenian lands. However, as our President noted in his speeches, they did not lay a single stone on these lands during all this time. On the contrary, the houses, museums, mosques, historical and cultural monuments built by our people in these lands for many years have been destroyed, devastated and looted by Armenians. Because the Armenians knew better than anyone that these places did not belong to them and that they would be expelled from them sooner or later.

Today, the real owners of these lands are building roads, building, constructing, creating, implementing projects, and working to ensure a prosperous future for people in those areas.
