Scholarships have been awarded to students

Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC) held an event with regard to scholarships awarding of Free Trade Union Republican Committee of Education Workers (FTURCEW) to students who are overachievers as to summer exams of 2017-2018 academic year and active trade union members.
Making a
speech at the event, the ATUC chairman, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev stated that the nationwide
leader Heydar Aliyev had always been giving a high importance to science,
education, sports, and emphasized that the Great Leader’s ideas are resolutely maintained
by the President Ilham Aliyev.
Noting
the significance of education in the modern world, S.Mohbaliyev brought to
attention that the President Ilham Aliyev attaches special significance to the development
of education, and a series of new school buildings of modern standards are
being constructed in the country as initiated by the First Lady Mehriban
Aliyeva.
The
chairman also mentioned the importance of the state youth policy.
Sattar
Mohbaliyev, speaking about the organization’s activities, stated that scholarship
of Free Trade Union Republican Committee of Education Workers was
established in 1995. The scholarship is awarded to students with excellent and
good scores from winter and summer exams as well as active trade union members.
In total 2209 students have been awarded scholarships up to the date.
