The provocation of the Armenian armed forces on the state border in the direction of the Tovuz region of Azerbaijan and the shelling of settlements was met with great concern and anger in brotherly Turkey.
Letters
of solidarity were sent to the chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions
Confederation, member of the Milli Majlis Sattar Mohbaliyev from the chairmen
of the Turkish-Ish Confederation of Workers' Unions, HAK-Ish Confederation,
Egitim-Sen Confederation and other unions.
In these
letters, the leaders of the Turkish trade unions strongly condemned the
provocation committed by Armenia. They expressed their condolences over the
martyrdom of General Polad Hashimov and other servicemen of the Azerbaijani
Army.
The statements said that Armenia, which was looking
for a new provocation, killed Azerbaijani servicemen, in return for which the
Azerbaijani Army retaliated. It was noted that the aggressor Armenia and its
supporters should know that Armenia, which continues its policy of aggression
against Azerbaijan, will always receive its due response.
The
leaders of the Turkish trade unions stressed that the talks were fruitless and
that the tactics chosen by Armenia served to prolong the occupation. They said
that Turkey, as always, stands by Azerbaijan, the time has come to put an end
to Armenia's aggressive policy, and the Azerbaijani Army is able to do so.
In their
letters, the leaders of the trade unions of the brotherly country reiterated
that they will always stand by the people of Azerbaijan in order to protect the
territorial integrity of our country.
