ATUC met with representatives of trade unions "Egitim Bir-Sen" and "Memur Sen"

On February 17, the chairman of the ATUC, Vice-President of the International Trade Unions Confederation Sattar Mohbaliyev received a delegation led by the Chairman of the Trade Union Egitim Bir-Sen and the Memur Sen Ali Yalchin.
Welcoming the guests, the chairman of the ATUC said we highly appreciate your good visit to our country. Thus, both you and us aim to discuss your membership in the European Union. We have mobilized all our efforts in this direction. We held meetings with the management of the European Union on these issues. We believe that the representation of Turkish unions in this organization will lead to successful results for both parties. In turn, the leadership of the European Education Union expresses confidence in the prospects of this cooperation. A meeting is expected to take place these days with the participation of both your organization and the European Union.
S.Mohbaliyev informed the guests that membership of our Turkish counterparts in Europe is of great importance for Azerbaijan. He said that we have been discussing these issues for more than 2 years. In each visit, we discussed the membership of our Turkish colleagues in the European Union. At the last meeting, it was stated that Baku is the ideal destination for this issue. At present, the leadership of the Union is in Baku. Our meeting will be organized with the participation of representatives from the European Union, Azerbaijan and Turkish Education Workers Union and will discuss the issues of your organization's membership in the European Union.
Mr. Ali Yalchin said in his reply that it is a privilege for us to hold such a meeting in Azerbaijan. Only our Azerbaijani brothers could take this higher step. Therefore, we are proud of the attention and care you provide to Turkey, and I want to express our deep gratitude to you for bringing this honor to us.
