There are many things to learn in Azerbaijan's practice

Ordinary meeting of International Public Association, Trade, Public Catering, Consumers’ Cooperative, Trade Unions Confederation was held in Dashkend, Ozbekistan on June 16-22.
Issues related to the provision of pensions to trade
workers in the CIS countries, strengthening the activities of the trade union
organizations, increase of authority and attracting new members among the trade
unions of Uzbekistan were discussed in the meeting.
There were speeches about these issues. First
vice-president of Azerbaijan “Xidmet-Is” HI Federation, Sadat Tahirova made a
speech about this issue and informed about works done in our country regarding solution
of these problems. She stated that performed economic and social reforms gave
an opportunity for the improvement of good standing of population.
One of the main points in Azerbaijan is that incomes
earned from economic development on the initiative of the president of the
country are directed to social targets. Especially, starting from the first
months of this year, president of the country consistently signed tens of
social oriented revolutionary orders, decrees.
S.Tahirova stated that suggestions of Trade Unions are
taken into consideration by our country while conducting social policy. In
other word, Trade Union is an active participant of social policy conducted by
our country. Partners discuss the most important, actual social issues in the
Trilateral Commission on social and economic issues established on the
initiative of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation and submit them to the
competent public bodies.
Interests of working population and their family members are
described in the main collective agreements concluded with partners.
S.Tahirova also touched upon other issues. Her speech was
heard by others with a great interest. It was acknowledged that there are many
issues to be learned in Azerbaijan’s practice.
