On October 19 was held the meeting with a delegation of the Federation Trade Unions of Workers State Institutions and Public Service of Tatarstan at the Republican Committee of Workers of State Institutions and Public Service of Azerbaijan.

Chairman of the Republican Committee Hikmet Osmanov welcomed the distinguished guests and expressed his best wishes.
The head of the Apparatus Staff, Shayg Akhmedov, made a
detailed report on the activities of the organization. He noted that their
organization with 80,000 members is one of the strongest that protects the
rights of every employee in the government and in the service sector.
First Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation Ilyas Aliyev,
spoke about friendly relations between the chairman of the
Independent Trade Unions of Russia and the president of the Pan-European
Regional Trade Union Council of the International Trade Union Confederation,
Mikhail Shmakov, and the chairman of Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation , Vice-President
of the ITUC, member of parlament Sattar
Mehbaliyev. He said that our countries
have always hade been in good relations
. The visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Azerbaijan repeatedly tells
us about our good relations. Azerbaijani trade unions have a 115-year history.
On 30 December, 1904, the first collective agreement was signed between workers
in the oil industry at the Electrosila plant. I. Aliyev told the guests in
detail about the multifaceted activities of the trade unions of Azerbaijan.
Olga Kalashnikova, Chairman of the Federation of Trade
Unions of Workers of State Institutions and Public Services of Russia, noted
that our organization is 80 years old and has 40,000 members. There is a very
close relationship between our organizations. We express our deep gratitude to
the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation and the leadership of the
organization.
At the end, a memorable gift was presented to the
Azerbaijan Trade Unions
Confederation by the delegation of
Tatarstan. Words written on the gift in the Azerbaijani and Russian languages
are remembered as a manifestation of eternal friendship: “When we are alone,
we can do little, and together we can achieve a lot. We will definitely achieve
this. ”
At the end of the meeting, the agreement was signed on
cooperation and cooperation between the trade unions of Workers of State
Institutions and Public Services of Azerbaijan and Tatarstan.
