“Gender equality, labor rights and science”

A conference on “Gender equality, labor rights and science” was organized by the ANAS Free Trade Union and the Women's Council.
The
event was attended by the chairmen of trade unions of scientific institutions,
as well as women's councils.
Opening the conference, the chairman of
the ECHR, Doctor of Law, Professor Habil Gurbanov said that our country has
always paid special attention to gender equality and women's rights. He noted
that the equality between men and women is clearly reflected in the
Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and a number of international
agreements have been ratified in the country, laws on combating gender equality
and domestic violence have been adopted. In 2018, the Women's Council was
established at the Academy.
Academician Nargiz Akhundova, chairman of
the Women's Council, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Rena Mirzazade spoke about
the role and role of women in the scientific and public life of ANAS.
At the end, the lectures of Dr. Mahruh
Najafli, Doctor of Philosophy on "Gender View of Azerbaijani Science"
and Doctor of Philosophy on Law Bahruz Karimov were heard.
