The works done in report period have been positively appreciated

The 10th congress of the Russian Confederation of Labor (KTR)was held on 17-18 May in Moscow.
Approximately 200 representatives of member organizations
of KTR, also Sharan Burrow, the General Secretary of the International Trade
Union Confederation (ITUC), Irakli Petriashvili, the president of the
Pan-European Regional Council (PERC) of ITUC and chairman of Georgian Trade
Union Confederation (GTUC), Anton Leppik, the executive secretary of ITUC PERC,
Olga Kulayeva, the Director of the International Labor Organization (ILO) Moscow
Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Sergius Glovaskas, the director of Labor
Bureau of International Labor Organization on European and Central Asian
countries, Gocha Aleksandriya, the specialist of Moscow Bureau of ILO, Yaroslav
Nilov, the Russian State Duma's Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs
Committee, the members of Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation (ATUC), also
Germany, France, Holland, Brasilia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Kazakhstan Trade Union Confederations,
experts, representatives of local and international unions, public and
scientific organizations took part in the congress.
The international scientific-practical conference called
“The freedom to combine, rights of trade unions, agenda of society and trade
union movement” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of International Labor
Organization (ILO) was held at the first
day of congress.
The report of Executive Committee of Russian
Confederation of Labor (KTR) was heard and confirmed by representatives of the
congress after speeches and discussions. The persons, who made speech around
report, positively appreciated the works done. Then, the elective authorities
of the Russian Confederation of Labor were reestablished. The elections of the
Confederation’s Council and control-inspection commission were held. Boris
Kravchenko was unanimously elected the president of the Russian Confederation
of Labor. Sergey Kovalev (the leader of Russia's Federal Trade Union of Air
Traffic Controllers) was elected the Secretary General, Igor Kovalchuk (Seafarers'
Trade Union of Russia) was elected the chairman of Executive Committee, Igor
Pavlov was elected the chairman of Council, Oleg Shin was elected the vice-president
of Russian Confederation of Labor (KTR).
