The path to development goes through the sharing of world experience

The meeting of the Executive Committee of the Global International Information and Broadcasting Union of Trade Unions was held in Madrid, Spain on 15 October.

At the event, which was attended by delegates from many countries, Johannes Stadinger, the chief executive of the organization, reported on the work done in the past. He noted that as a result of a 20-year social dialogue with the International Labor Organization and the Federation of Actors Trade Unions in the field of digitalization, we were able to reach a common agreement with our European partners. The speaker must also note that despite this agreement, discrimination against workers in the field has not been completely eliminated.
Working conditions in the production of film and television products do not meet modern requirements. All this has a negative impact on professional development and quality improvement. At the meeting of the Executive Committee of the European Union of Mass Media and Broadcasting Union Trade Unions, which was a part of this body, it also spoke about the current problems.
 Representatives of the Spanish trade union organizations said the working conditions were not good. They have presented the details of the existing problems. They offered their solutions. President of the Union, William Monye, made a report on the drafting and implementation of collective agreements.
Meetings of the Executive Committee were organized under the slogan "Digitalization" on "Working Conditions in Film and Television Production", "Women's Network" and "The Future of Broadcasting."
 Chairman of the Republican Committee of the Union of Cultural Workers Jamila Sattarova, Head of the International Relations and Information Department Zaur Hamidov also spoke at both the Executive Committee meetings and conferences. Sattarova said that the state care for our spiritual wealth is high in Azerbaijan. Numerous state programs have been adopted to promote the development of this area. President Ilham Aliyev has recently met with artists, including filmmakers. He listened carefully to each one. He gave instructions on the operational solution of the declared issues.
 Sattarova spoke about the measures taken by the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, as well as the trade unions, to preserve the labor, social rights of workers of cinema and television, to create working conditions at the level of modern requirements.
Z. Hamidov said in his speech that the path to development goes through the sharing of world experience. He suggested that international organizations should pay more attention to this issue.
