On 13 April, What? When? Where? Tournament dedicated to the 96th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held with the attendance of the Republican Committee of Public Administration and Public Service Workers Union member organizations in the hotel Monolit Plaza, Baku.
The chairman of the Republican Committee
Hikmat Osmanov, delivering an opening speech at the tournament and wishing
success to the attendees, said it was for the first time such a mass
intellectual game was held in their field. The initiative came from the
responsibility to realize goals set in the youth policy of the Azerbaijan Trade
Unions Confederation (ATUC). The ATUC chairman Sattar Mohbaliyev had welcomed
this initiative.
H.Osmanov also clarified moral aspects
of the game. He said one of the significant missions of trade unions is to
support the government in forming educated, patriotic young generation as a
guarantee for the future of our people. In his speeches the ATUC chairman has
for many times reminded this issue to related trade unions and given
recommendations, and called us to be an initiator.
During the tournament that lasted about
4 hours, 32 teams with 6 members in each competed to answer 48 questions
prepared by the Azerbaijan Intellectual Games Federation. “ASAN service” took 3rd
and “Economy” 2nd places. The winner was “Kapital Bank”.
