The Union of Agricultural Workers Trade Unions was established

A meeting was held to establish the Trade Union of Agricultural Workers' Union. The meeting was attended by 112 representatives from trade organizations of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Trade Union
Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture Fuad Mammadov informed the
participants about the role, goals and objectives of trade union in society.
Fuad Mammadov said that trade unions play an important role in ensuring and
protecting workers' rights envisaged by the Labor Code.
Speaking at
the meeting, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Seyfaddin Talibov said that under
the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev,
the state has taken a great deal of support for the development of the agrarian
sector. . In the first half of this year, the growth in the agrarian sector was
13%, which is a record in recent years. ”

Talibov also touched upon the role of the Trade Union Committee of the Ministry
of Agriculture and highly appreciated the work of the Committee. He thanked the
leadership of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan for supporting
the activities of the Trade Union Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Deputy
Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan Agil Dadashov said
that the organization represented by the Union will continue to support the
Trade Union of Agricultural Workers. He expressed confidence that the Union
will establish international relations and benefit from international
experience.
The issue of
establishing the Trade Union of Agricultural Workers was then put to a vote and
was adopted unanimously in accordance with the agenda of the meeting.
The meeting
also discussed the election of the chairman of the Union, as well as the
composition of the governing bodies - the Assembly and the Presidium.
Fuad Mammadov, who was unanimously nominated by the
participants of the event, was elected chairman of the Trade Union of
Agricultural Workers.
Other organizational issues were considered at the
meeting. The Assembly consisted of 35 members, including the Presidium of 11,
was elected.
Speakers spoke about the role of trade union in the regulation
of labor relations, the importance of protecting labor rights, ensuring
economic and social interests of workers.
