Plenum of the Republican Committee of the Union of Cultural Workers

On December 5, the fourth plenary session of the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Cultural Workers (MRI) was held. Opening the event, the chairman of the Republican Committee of the Union of Cultural Workers, Jamila Sattarova, touched upon the events held in the past.
He noted
that the decrees and orders signed by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev
this year serve to improve the welfare of the population, strengthen the social
protection of low-income families, refugees and IDPs, war veterans and families
of martyrs. At the same time, according to these decrees and decrees, the
increase in pensions of up to 100,000 students, a 90% increase in minimum wages
and pensions is a clear confirmation of the state's attention and care for the
social strata.
At the event it was particularly noted
that the decree of the President of Azerbaijan dated June 18, 2019, the
determination of the minimum wage in the country from September 1, 250 manat,
has caused a great deal of joy for cultural workers. This is a 40 percent
increase in salaries for about 10,000 people working in the cultural sector.
Speaking about the importance of meeting
the First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva with a
group of cultural and art figures, the rapporteur noted that the labor union
committees were trained in the labor protection committees and assisted in this
direction. Over the past two years, the MICS has investigated labor protection
by Saatli, Sabirabad, Imishli, Neftchala, Ismayilli and other district
committees.
In general, occupational safety has always
been the focus of attention as a key issue in the field of MCHI activities.
Roundtables on "The Future of Labor - Dignified and Safe Workplace"
and seminars under the motto "Dignified Labor is the Way to Fair Social
Economy". According to him, the project will be implemented in the country
since 2020 due to its justification.
Speaking at the plenary session, the chairpersons
of Shamakhi, Sabirabad, Astara and other district committees stressed the
importance of making the most of their potential to cope with the challenges
ahead.
