Metropolitan Workers Trade Union Meeting

On December 6, the 4th Meeting of the Metropolitan Workers' Union was held. The meeting was opened by the chairman of the organization Arif Mardanov.

Bagirov, Deputy Chairman of the MICS, was the keynote speaker on the MICS's
work and challenges in addressing the socio-economic and health problems of its
employees during 2019.
He noted that a unique place of metropolitanists
has been formed in the trade union movement of Azerbaijan. One of the reasons
is the traditional metropolitan association, and the other is based on the
mutual respect of the AHIC leadership and the management of the Baku Metro. A
good example of this is the commitment agreed in the collective bargaining
agreement signed this year. The material welfare of employees, privileges and
privileges in the solution of socio-economic problems, safe working conditions,
rest of employees and their family members, special leisure time. On November
18 this year, the monthly salary of all employees was increased by 10%.
In order to prevent possible accidents,
considering the diversity of workplaces and high-risk jobs in the subway, the
MIT's labor inspector, together with the public inspectors, periodically
conducts field inspections, reports on the results and submits to the employer
and MIG. As a result of the work done and control, only 1 industrial injury was
recorded in 11 months of 2019. The goal is to reduce the number of industrial
injuries to zero.
The largest social feature project in the
facility is the operation of seven permanent restaurants. At the same time,
other jobs are expected to be brought closer to these opportunities. In this
sense, the period of repairs to the Khatai station can be particularly noted.
The dining room was set up during that time. Workers paid about half the cost
of lunch, as well as cashless payments. Speaking of these types of events, this
year, more than 2,000 metropolitan and family members may have a rest and
preventive treatment at the Bilgah Health Center. The facility also provides
special benefits for labor and war veterans, disabled people, and former
metropolitan residents who are in serious financial trouble. 114 people,
including them, were sent to sanatoriums in the country. The care of the
metropolitans and their families, who have played a special role in the
protection of our lands and the independence of Azerbaijan, has not gone
unnoticed. Since 2015, MRI has provided one-time awards to students enrolled in
higher education by earning 600 or more points to encourage and motivate
metropolitan children. This year was no exception and 5 such young people were
awarded. In this regard, the weight of a premium increases year by year. For
the fifth consecutive year, he has been selected as the "Train Engineer of
the Year" at the subway, where he is presented with awards and diplomas on
the occasion of his professional holiday.
119 metropolitan pilgrims made a tour of
Istanbul under the auspices of Baku Metro and CJSC. The forthcoming World
Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and New Year's Day will also be no exception.
Visits to the historical and tourist regions of the country are organized more
and more regularly.
MRI is also active in social projects of
the Republic. With the motto "The Best Enterprise of the Year for Creating
Healthy and Safe Workplace", the metropolitan workforce is different in
the annual competition held by the ATUC. This time, the car column of the
Department of Transport and Special Equipment was considered the winner.
Another project of the ATUC was awarded the honorary title of 3 Metropolitan in
the category "Professional Young of the Year". Winners of the project
were awarded during the event. The report highlights the sporting achievements
of the metropolitan area. They take an active part in the annual Spartakiad of
the Zenit Sports Society and achieve high results. They have won twice in the
last 4 years and have taken third place in the team standings. The competitions
are over this year. More than 70 metropolitan competitors took part in 10 kinds
of competitions and took second place in the team event.
