Second part of project “Social gardens” was started

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population and “Regional Development” Public Union of Heydar Aliyev Fund signed memorandum in order to continue cooperation in the field of execution of self-employment program
In the event it was
stated that 7267 persons were involved to the self-employment program in 2018s which is executed on the initiative
of the president and it means that it is 6,5 times more than previous year. 1000
persons of them were invalids, 1340 persons were internally displaced persons,
1416 persons were women, 101 persons released from prison and other persons
being in sensible category. It was intended to involve up to 10 thousand
persons in the current year, up to 15 thousand persons in 2020.
By this program, an active support was made to the
development of gardening which is an important field of agriculture. It was
mentioned that within the scope of memorandum signed between the Ministry and
“Regional Development” Public Union, intensive fruit gardens, vegetable and
horticulture economy was established for 125 families (martyr families, invalids,
members of low-income working families) covering sensible groups in 41 regions
on the “Social gardens” project in 2018. These families were given support in irrigation
of fields, agrotechnical care, providing consultation services, logistics and organization
of sale of ready product. Trainings were hold for the improvement of skills and
knowledge in the relevant fields of activity.
Sattar Mohbaliyev, peoples’ deputy, chairman of
Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, participated in the event.
