On November 28, the 4th Meeting of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers was held. Chairman of the Republican Committee, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev introduced the participants to the agenda.
New members of the parliament have been nominated and
approved.
Then, Deputy
Chairman of the Republican Committee, Mirza Jafarzadeh read the report on the
working conditions, occupational health and safety rules for union members in
higher education institutions and the upcoming tasks.
The draft
decision on the reference was read and voted on.
Chairman of
the Republican Committee, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev positively evaluated the work
done in the Parliament. He said that since 2009, the ATUC has been conducting a
competition under the motto “The Best Enterprise (Organization) of the Year in
Establishing Healthy and Safe Work Conditions”. The purpose of the competition
is to inspire management, business and organization leaders to address the
issues of labor safety and to encourage them to address their shortcomings.
Experience shows that we achieve this desire. The results of the competition,
year after year, increase the number of participants.
The deputy
said that many universities are making innovations, but first of all, the issue
of occupational safety must be taken into account. Discussions are being held
to create decent jobs around the world. This is one of the key issues in the
discussions of the International Labor Organization. Failure to pay attention
to security can lead to serious consequences if not followed. Therefore, these
issues must be kept under control. Trade union organizations should be careful
in these matters.
The
implementation of the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Education
and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for
2019-2021 should always be monitored.
Mohbaliyev
said that the most responsible period of trade unions is on the eve of holding
reporting meetings. Holding elections is a serious issue. Because it has a
direct impact on the formation of future activities. All RK members should
actively participate in the elections.
Elections for
trade union ranks in higher education institutions should be fair. Student
Trade Union Committee should also be careful. The main merits and activities of
trade unions should be explained to the youth more fully. We need to build genuine
relationships with young people, listen to them and solve their problems
whenever possible.
According
to him, the head of state is carrying out reforms to improve the social
security of the population, which will continue in the coming year. As trade
unions, we also support these reforms.
