The opening of the Zangazur corridor will be another historic achievement of Azerbaijan

Today, the states that want to present themselves as friends of the Armenian people by making irresponsible and baseless statements, in fact, by their actions, are leading Armenia to a greater disaster and a deeper abyss.
These calls do not serve the establishment of peace and
tranquility in the South Caucasus, the formation of mutually beneficial
cooperation, and are clearly aimed at destabilizing the region.
The statement came from MP, chairman of the Azerbaijan
Trade Unions Confederation Sattar Mohbaliyev.
He said that after Azerbaijan alone resolved the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief
Ilham Aliyev, all neighboring countries, including Armenia, had a chance to
take advantage of new economic development opportunities in the region.
However, whether or not he correctly assesses the chance given to him will
depend entirely on the will of the Armenian people and the constructive
approach of the Armenian government to the issue: “Azerbaijani President Ilham
Aliyev, in fact, gave Armenia a great chance today. If Armenia takes advantage
of this opportunity, it can develop its economy and end its dependence on
foreign capital. Unfortunately, the leadership of this country still does not
show a constructive position. It seems that Armenia is still ruled by forces
that are unable to distinguish between the good and the bad of this country and
its people. If this were not the case, some government and opposition forces in
Armenia would still not make nonsensical statements and voice revanchist views
on the return of Shusha. Of course, the influence of foreign forces provoking
Armenia is not insignificant in this matter. Statements by the foreign ministries
of France and Canada are also a major threat to peace and stability in the
South Caucasus. However, these countries forget that no state can speak
threatening language to Azerbaijan. As President Ilham Aliyev said in an
interview with Azerbaijani Television during his visit to the Nakhchivan
Autonomous Republic, there is no Nagorno-Karabakh conflict or a territory of
this name in Azerbaijan today, and Azerbaijan is currently engaged in
reconstruction work in the liberated territories. The Zangazur corridor
connecting Zangilan with Nakhchivan will be opened soon. Our next historical
achievement will be to connect Zangilan, located in the Eastern Zangazur
region, with our ancient land, Western Zangazur, and then with Nakhchivan and
Turkey through Ordubad. ”
Then Sattar Mohbaliyev said that the visit of President
Ilham Aliyev to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on May 10 is of special
importance both from a political and economic point of view. He said:
“Undoubtedly, Nakhchivan is one of the most developed and rapidly developing
regions of Azerbaijan today. This development is constantly observed in all
areas. During the recent visit of President Ilham Aliyev to the Autonomous
Republic, several important infrastructure projects were inaugurated, and the head
of state personally attended those openings. In particular, a drinking water
and sewerage project was launched in Ordubad. The level of gasification has
already reached 100 percent. Electricity supply has reached 100 percent and
Nakhchivan has a huge energy potential. All the cities of the Autonomous
Republic are already connected by highways, and these roads are being built
with very high quality. Today, the industrial potential of Nakhchivan is
developing rapidly. The autonomous republic has achieved record results in
terms of economic growth over the past 20 years. Gross domestic product has
increased more than 10 times. Measures taken in the field of agriculture are
also yielding positive results. Nakhchivan is self-sufficient in basic
foodstuffs. Of course, one of the issues in the spotlight in recent years is
the defense of Nakhchivan and the strengthening of its military potential. In
particular, on May 10, the head of state attended the opening ceremonies of a
military airfield and military hospital in Nakhchivan, which are of great
importance in ensuring the security of the autonomous republic and improving
the service and living conditions of servicemen. The opening of a special
military airfield has a special place in ensuring the security of the
Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. In general, it should be noted that great
attention has always been paid to strengthening the defense potential of
Nakhchivan.
